How it works

sharingguru is a simple way to organise sharing of one or multiple things with others.
Only three steps are required to get setup.

The creator of the group is the group admin. The admin sets a few parameters of the group based on the intended use case.

Based on the admin’s setup of the group, only admin or all group members can add assets to the group.

When you create a SharedThing, you decide if it is generally available or if you want to create specific availabilities, e.g. days, or weeks.

The admin invites others to the group by sharing an invite link. Invitees tap the link, register on sharingguru, code and voila, are members of the group.

The sharing begins!

Group members see availability in a calendar view, request their intended booking time and the sharingguru confirms if the desired time is available for booking. Once the booking is made, the member booking and the member providing the asset are informed, the booking is visible to both and both are being informed about upcoming bookings so no booking get forgotten.

FAQ

Once you have registered with sharingguru App, you can get an overview of the app's functions with the help of the intro videos. Many things are self-explanatory when you use the app. Otherwise, feel free to write or call us and we will help you.

As long as you are invited to join a group my an admin there are no costs associated with this for you. If you want to create groups and be the admin of that group you can do that for free within the bounderies of the free subscription. If you want to manage bigger groups with more 'shared things' you can upgrade to a paid subscription.

Select the group you want to make a booking for, select 'Book SharedThing', see availability in the calendar view, select the start and end time you want and see if there is availability and you can book.

You can cancel bookings you have made at any time.

Yes, you can do that. Under 'Bookings by others' you can see the booking in question and simply cancel/delete it. The user who made the booking will be informed accordingly.

Yes, of course! Go to "SharedThings" in the corresponding group, select the relevant "SharedThing", then you will see the availabilities at the bottom and can delete them. Users who have already made bookings within the availability to be deleted will be informed that their bookings will be cancelled.

If you cannot see the group statistics which includes the user names, this information is only visible to the admin. The admin can change the settings to make the group statistics visible to all group members.

Unfortunately, we cannot currently offer a downgrade. You can delete your account at any time and create a new one with the appropriate subscription.

The sharingguru is intended to organize non-paid sharing of things among friends, family members, neighbours and colleagues. With help of the group statistics admin and users (if permitted by admin) can see who used 'Shared Thing' how often. This information can be used for example by the administrator of a company to distribute the parking cost among the group members. Any of such charging and payment related actitivies are outside of the scope of the sharingguru App.
